effect of vitamin supplementation.
| Plain
English Summary: |
A
common side effect of pregnancy is the “morning sickness”
consisting of nausea and vomiting. There are several
possible reasons for this effect, and there are also
many suspected cures. This study examined the role
of Vitamin B6 in the prevalence and severity of the
nausea and vomiting associated with early pregnancy.
Participants were interviewed as to their experiences
with nausea and vomiting and their vitamin supplementation
usage. The results suggested that the use of a multivitamin
helped to reduce the number of vomiting episodes during
morning sickness, and also helped to reduce weight
loss associated with vomiting. |
