Effectiveness of High Dose Riboflavin
Clinical Study Title:
Effectiveness of high-dose riboflavin in migraine prophylaxis. A
randomized controlled trial
| Plain
English Summary: |
This
study looked at the use of a vitamin B2 supplement
versus a placebo on the incidence of migraines. Participants
were given either a placebo or a vitamin B2 supplement
over the course of 3 months. The participants who
were taking the supplements reported fewer migraines
during the study. Participants also reported high
tolerance for the drugs, meaning there were few side
effects. Vitamin B2 supplements may help to reduce
the number of migraines and be safer and less expensive
than most medicines used to treat this disorder. |
