coronary artery bypass grafting under cardiopulmonary bypass.

English Summary: |
The
use of nicorandil or vitamin B3 has been gaining support
for its protective effects for the heart. This study
examined its usefulness in delivery during a cardiopulmonary
bypass surgery. A total of 70 patients undergoing
surgery were enrolled. Half of the participants received
nicorandil during surgery, while the other half received
nothing. Those patients who received the nicorandil
had better recovery and lower plasma levels. The study
supported the use of nicorandil during cardiopulmonary
bypass surgery, and further supports the idea that
nicorandil, or vitamin B3, has a protective effect
on the function of the heart. |
