Clinical Study Title:
The role of nicorandil in the treatment of myocardial ischaemia.
| Plain
English Summary: |
Nicorandil
is the vitamin known as B3. In recent years, it has
been used in foreign countries to aid in relieving
angina pectoris. It helps to open up potassium-ATP
channels in the body, and increases the cGMP levels.
Nicorandil has been shown to be as effective as many
of the drugs prescribed for angina. It also has been
associated with aiding with ischemic symptoms. The
daily use of nicorandil has been associated with a
more improved treatment for ischemic heart disease,
as well as improving heart functioning over all. |
