Infants Healthy Growth with Vitamin B6
Clinical Study Title:
Vitamin B6 status of breast-fed infants in relation to pyridoxine
HCl supplementation of mothers.
| Plain
English Summary: |
This
study looked at the levels of vitamin b6 in infants
that are breast fed by mothers who had been taking
supplements of vitamin b6. This correlation was seen
at all ages of infancy while being breast fed by the
mother. All of the infants who had adequate amounts
of vitamin b6 showed normal growth. This suggests
that a supplement containing vitamin b6 for mothers
who breast feed their infants can help to promote
healthy growth and adequate nutrient levels in the
infants. |
