English Summary: |
This
study looked at the use of vitamin E to decrease symptoms
of atopic dermatitis. A total of 96 participants with
atopic dermatitis were enrolled in the study. Half
of the subjects were given a vitamin E supplement
daily, and the other participants were given a placebo
to take daily. More participants from the vitamin
E group showed a significant improvement in their
symptoms. Those participants taking the placebo showed
less improvement and had more participants who either
did not change at all, or got worse. This suggests
that vitamin E supplements may be a beneficial addition
to the treatment of atopic dermatitis. |
