Improving wound healing after nose surgery by combined administration of xylometazoline and dexpanthenol.

Plain English Summary:

This study looked at the use of Xylometazoline with vitamin B5 to treat rhinitis. A total of 61 participants with rhinitis were enrolled in this study. Half of the participants were given xylometazoline alone, while the other half were given xylometazoline with vitamin B5. Both treatments provided symptom reduction for rhinitis. The addition of vitamin B5 improved the tolerance of the treatment for the participants. This suggests that the addition of vitamin B5 is an improvement to the use of xylometazoline alone. Vitamin B5 can have an added benefit to the treatment of rhinitis.
